Student Success Stories: Day Trading, Raising Kids & Sailing

Small Business Owner from Georgia

Hi! I’m Celena. Your basic Georgia single-mom of two amazing daughters. I am an entrepreneur by trade developing websites and building and selling businesses, etc. I became interested in trading when a friend introduced me to the possibility. Who doesn’t love extra income!? I engaged with Warrior trading, then upgraded to the Warrior Pro course.

Trading for 3hrs/day

I’m pretty smart so I thought if I could engage in a course this would be easy. Taking the Warrior Pro course isn’t enough, you have to actually apply the wisdom! 🙂 I tried Ross’ strategy first, then Mikes, then was all over the place and not profitable anywhere. About a year later, I got my head out of the sand and started following the rules. I am 2.5 years into my trading career and I am profitable and can do only this full time working about 3 hours per day (watchlist prep, trading, documentation and trade review). The support at Warrior through the chat rooms, mentor sessions, on-staff trade psychologist, etc. is invaluable.

Sailing in the Bahamas & Still Trading

This month I didn’t trade half of the available trade days. I spent April sailing in Bahamas and up the East coast, attending music festivals, taking spontaneous trips to the beach, and being more available at my daughters activities. This month I still was able to bring in 2757 in profits trading less than half of my normal trade time – just to give you an idea of the possibilities. I trade with about 1000 shares on average in small caps and 500 in large caps. My account isn’t that hefty but my profits are still sustainable and solid for a single Mom in Georgia. 🙂

Living a Better Life

My daughters and I now are living more comfortable than ever, we travel a lot, live life fully and without boundaries. Trading for me is about freedom. The mistakes I make are all mine. Therefore the improvements I make are mine as well. I think trading is the only place in life where I can say I am totally responsible for my outcomes. That’s huge in a world where previously waiting on someone else to make decisions about my income felt like a prison. I now have full autonomy.

Don’t Forget to Bring the Discipline!

If you decide to give this a try I have a suggestion for you. Discipline is very important in trading (reference full autonomy). When you start this course, it’s more than education, it is commitment to a lifestyle. Successful traders apply discipline in many areas of life. Start by working out regularly (it will help with the emotions involved), start eating right (you don’t want to come off a sugar high during trading), practice mindfulness (it is important to know what your thoughts are because you have a lot to attend to when analyzing a trade in real time). Trading doesn’t just improve your income, if you engage it whole-heartedly, it will improve every area of your life. If I can be of service to your trade journey, look me up in the chat rooms! — Celena
