Danny’s Story
Danny is a West Coast trader who lives in the Bay Area of California. Prior to beginning his career as a trader, Danny worked in sales and marketing. The flexibility of his previous job gave him the opportunity to begin studying the markets. Since he’s on Pacific Standard Time in California, in order to trade the markets he wakes up before the sun rises. In fact, many days he’s finished by 8am local time, 11am Eastern Standard Time.
Finishing up trading early gives Danny a jump start on getting to the gym. He has been a life long athlete and although he’s not competing professionally in sports, he maintains the discipline to keep himself in great shape. One of the thinks he’s learned is that the muscle of discipline that he’s used in sports pays off big time when it comes to trading.
Danny’s Strategy
Danny is primarily a long-biased momentum trader, although he occasionally trades to the short side. By focusing on small-cap momentum, Danny is trading some of the move volatile stocks each day. Danny uses ThinkorSwim as his trading platform. However, he also utilizes third-party integrations to allow faster order execution.
Danny has demonstrated his workflow in the mini-series he taught for Warrior Pro members. While Danny tends to avoid pre-market trading, he will trade later in the trading session if opportunities present themselves. An advantage to being on PST is that it’s only 1pm PST when the stock market closes in New York.
