Warrior Trading is a software and educational services provider founded by Ross Cameron in 2012. Cameron originally had the idea of creating a website that served as a centralized database of all the chart patterns related to day-trading. As he was learning various chart patterns, he used the website as a blog to chronicle what was working — and what wasn't.
Eventually, this expanded to providing written blog posts about various trading platforms, day-trading brokers, and trading tools. In January 2013, Cameron created his YouTube account and began uploading videos to accompany the blog posts he was writing.

Meet the Creator Behind Warrior Trading
Ross Cameron’s career in the stock market began at a young age. He attended middle school during the dot-com bubble and had a teacher who decided to teach a course on the stock market. That course included partnering up with classmates and investing with pretend money.
Cameron took his newfound interest in the stock market to his local stock broker's office and asked if he could buy $100 worth of stock in the American Ski Company. The broker informed him they charged a $50 commission for each trade.
A few years later, while on summer break from high school, Cameron funded his first trading account at Ameritrade with $1,000. He bought shares in companies he was familiar with, including Pfizer, Exxon Mobil, Caterpillar, and U.S. Steel.
By the end of the summer, the account was more or less unchanged. It was becoming increasingly apparent that making money in the stock market required certain skills that Ross Cameron did not yet possess.
Around this time, his friend and neighbor, Ben, made $16,000 by investing in a penny stock. This would later become Cameron’s inspiration to return to trading following a bout of joblessness during the Great Recession.
When Ross Cameron made his third attempt at trading, he was in his 20s and newly married. He picked up where Ben had left off by searching for the next penny stock to buy.
Over the course of the next several years, Cameron became fully immersed in learning everything he could about the stock market. He learned about how different types of stocks trade, the technical indicators traders use to predict future price action, and how to find stocks to trade each morning in real time.
Making his way through the learning process, he created the Warrior Trading blog. As his trading improved, the content he posted to the blog and eventually to YouTube became better and better.
Over the years, he developed a loyal following. Today, he has over 1 million subscribers on YouTube and has taught thousands of traders worldwide in his day-trading courses at Warrior Trading.

Warrior Trading’s Tools Explained
One of the biggest differences between Warrior Trading and other courses, chatrooms, or tools for day traders is that it offers everything a trader needs to learn and practice in one place. This simplifies things for new traders and can help reduce costs. Once someone is ready to use real money for trading, all they need is a funded brokerage account.
In 2017, Warrior Trading embarked on a mission to build the ultimate day-trading platform. At that time, most day traders relied on a mismatched box of tools from various vendors. This slowed down the process of analyzing stocks and often resulted in traders missing opportunities.
The Warrior Trading software platform, known as Day Trade Dash, provides traders with real-time market data for stock scanners, stock charts, and breaking news.
Chatroom and Livestream
The project began with building out a customized day-trading chatroom for the members of Warrior Trading. Previously, Warrior Trading had been using off-the-shelf chatroom software, but it ran into two issues. The first issue was that viewers who could simultaneously stream the broadcast exceeded the bandwidth. The second issue? Lagginess, bugs, and latency issues arose when Warrior Trading hit peak capacity. Momentum trading moves fast, and the software needed to keep up.
The first order of business was to build a chatroom with streaming capable of broadcasting up to 10,000 viewers. Warrior Trading now utilizes the latest and ultra-low latency streaming servers to create a seamless experience for its members.
Beyond the simple functionality of chatting and tuning in to a live broadcast, the chatroom also serves as the primary communication hub for members. In the chatroom, members are easily identified with badges that reflect their community tenure, profitability achievements, and whether or not they pass the final exam at the end of the strategies and scaling course.

Scanners
After completing the chatroom project, our development team built a suite of stock scanners. Our proprietary scanners take in a tremendous amount of market data and screen and filter the data to produce actionable trade ideas.
Through Ross Cameron’s experience as a trader, he has learned to identify the type of stocks with the highest probability of making big moves. He’s been able to turn that information into specific data points that the scanners use to search the market on any given day. Cameron can use the scanners to build a watchlist of two to three stocks, which, in a market of thousands of publicly traded companies, seems like finding a needle in a haystack.

Charts
With the chatroom and the scanners fully rolled out, the development team began working on implementing stock charts. Utilizing the market data feeds already built out for stock scanning, Warrior Trading partnered with TradingView to utilize the latest charting engines and integrate them into our Day Trade Dash platform.
As an active day trader, Cameron has always relied on intraday time frames, including one-minute and five-minute charts, but in recent years, he’s begun to use even shorter time frames, including the 10-second chart. Only a few market data vendors offer 10-second charts, and Warrior Trading’s Day Trade Dash platform is one of them.
Once charts were integrated into the platform, next came the addition of a 10-second time frame. Warrior Trading customized the experience, including indicators, a clear display of float, and delineation of premarket versus regular session or after-hours trading.
