The Heart Of Spain Is Pure Youth Energy – Traveling Trader Episode 4

spain

The third stop of this amazing journey of mine brings me to Madrid, the capital of Spain. By the way, just in case you’ve been missing the first three episodes, you can watch them all here. And don’t worry, there are so many beautiful places in Europe that are yet to come and I am really excited to bring you with me!

I want to talk to you about my incredible experience in Madrid, Spain. A city where just by wandering around and getting lost, you can immediately tell it’s full of young and positive vibes. The energy of these people is a deep and beautiful force. And I’ve been fortunate enough to meet with some of them and ended up building some great relationships.

In fact, I’ve been meeting with Kevin (you’ll get to know more about him in this TRTR episode) that really has not just been a one-shot interview but it has turned into such a meaningful connection and, I’m sure, the beginning of something more substantial and durable. That’s what happens when you meet the right people at the right point of your own personal evolution. I’m really looking forward to continue building it.

Two Tips On Exercising Mindfulness For Your Best Trading

Also, I’ve been realizing that all of this traveling around is really stunning but it can also be quite stressful. I’m basically jumping from place to place every couple of weeks and having to start from scratch every time can be really hard and tiring. On the other hand, as professional day traders, we should always be reminded about how important it is to be self-aware and present in the moment when we need it.

Working On Being Self Aware

The most effective practice that we can use to our advantage is exercising mindfulness. So, here are two habits that I’ve been reinforcing in my daily routine in Madrid to make sure my own awareness stays on point:

  • Performing meditation. It can be done literally anywhere at any time. Just filter out the noise, have a seat and let your mind relax. I personally use an app on my smartphone called “HeadSpace” and I find it very powerful. Even just 10-15 minutes per day can really have an impact on your trading and, overall, living a more conscious life.
  • Starting Yoga. I’m always looking for new experiences on every stop of my tour, I’ve decided to give yoga a try. I’ve always been fascinated by this discipline and I noticed there was a class hosted in an art atelier for a convenient price. I’ve decided to book it and I couldn’t be more thankful that I did so. That’s another great way to increase the level of mindfulness.

On top of that, I’ve met Carmen. She is an amazing yoga teacher that not only has helped me with my interest in yoga, but she also opened her mind and offered to show me Madrid from a local perspective. At the time of this writing, this has been the most incredible gift that this journey has given to me.

Final Thoughts On Spain

Ultimately, Madrid has been so welcoming to me that it would be really impossible to describe it into a short article. The only wish that I’d have for you all is to have the possibility to get here and to experience it for yourself. That’s by far the most significant way to enjoy this amazing place.
